SEMI b-to-b O.98 for December

The SEMI book-to-bill for December was 0.98. December bookings were $1.37 billion. The bookings figure is 12.3% higher than the final November 2014 level of $1.22 billion, and is 1.1% lower than the December 2013 order level of $1.38 billion.

Intel Hits Revenue Record in 2014

OAKLAND, Calif. — Intel reported better than expected financial results and a record-breaking full year revenue of $55.9 billion. In a conference call highlighting his first full year, Intel’s CEO said the company is “in a very different place” than it was 12 months ago and finished the year with a strong fourth quarter.

Slower Growth Ahead for Semiconductors

Despite a projected 5.4 percent increase in global semiconductor revenue in 2015, this is down from 7.9 percent growth in 2014, according to Gartner Inc. The forecast is also down from the previous quarter’s forecast of 5.8 percent growth.
